Helen has served on The Arc’s Board since 2011 and just completed five years as president. She provided additional leadership as vice president, finance/investment committee chair, chair of the Office Relocation Task Force, and member of the Governance and Executive Committees. To The Arc, she has been an exemplary board member, and so much more. As the parent of an adult daughter with IDD, she brings her essential parent perspective to board discussions while still focusing on the needs of The Arc and all people with I/DD in our community. Recently retired, her professional experience includes call center management, work in the title and real estate industries, and two nonprofits. As if her board and professional accomplishments weren’t enough, Helen is also a fantastic human being with a heart the size of California. She’s one of those exceptional people who lifts others up and brings out the best in those around her. We’re proud to honor her unique voice, which is one that radiates positive energy to The Arc and to everyone around her.
