Cici Fischer

Cici Fischer

Our 60th Voice That Shines belongs to 14-year-old Cici Fischer, who is a game changer and capable of busting a whole host of stereotypes. When Cici was a baby, she experienced an anoxic brain injury, which resulted in significant developmental disabilities. But as a fun-loving 8th grader at Fletcher Miller School, she’s also a typical teenage girl. She’s focused on her friends and her boyfriend, and she loves watching TV shows about other teens. She’s known for her fabulous sense of humor, and she loves to joke around. One of her favorite things to do is listen to audio books. After completing countless numbers of them, she is one of the best-read teenagers we know. It’s clear that Cici’s disabilities don’t stop her from excelling at school, pursuing lots of interests, enjoying time with family and friends, and using her extraordinary voice to show what people with IDD can achieve.
