Brooks Wiggins is a cherished participant in many of The Arc’s self-advocacy groups like Coffee House, People First, and Speaking For Ourselves - Colorado. She has attended Arc events like Travel Training, LifeAbility Talks, and last year’s art exhibit at Lakewood Arts Council during DD Awareness Month. Brooks believes deeply in equal rights for people with disabilities. She takes every opportunity she can to advocate for herself and her peers. Brooks has overcome hard times in life, and she wants others to know that they can overcome hard times, too – with beautiful things they enjoy and the right attitude.
