The Family Caregiver Guides, designed for stakeholders in the Colorado system supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, are now available to download. These eagerly anticipated guides were created by the Family Caregiver Workgroup, a body consisting of family members, representatives of The Arc, service providers and representatives from Community Centered Boards.

The purpose of each guide is to explain the changes made by the 2008 Family Caregiver Act in the specific waiver and to define the options now available for individuals receiving services and their families. Separate guides have been published for CES, SLS and HCBS-DD waivers, making the Family Caregiver option more understandable and usable for everyone.
