Transition Advocacy for Young Adults
The transition to young adulthood is full of changes and questions as youth strive to establish their independence while still growing their skills. During this critical life stage, young adults with disabilities need to begin taking a more active role in shaping their lives while parents and caregivers often need guidance to help their loved one succeed.
Thankfully, The Arc's experienced transition advocate is here to help. Armed with information you can trust, our advocate will support both the young adult and their family members as they develop the skills and knowledge for success.
Transition advocacy is reserved for adults aged 18 to 29 who are no longer in school.
How to get help.
To begin the advocacy process, use the button below to submit an advocacy request or call (303) 232-1338 to leave a message for your advocate. Requests are typically addressed within three (3) business days.
During the initial contact which can be either a phone or e-mail exchange, our advocate will ask questions to get a full picture of your current needs. Once your immediate concerns have been addressed, the advocacy process ends. Should you need further assistance in the future, simply contact your advocate again.
